Inspiration!

Hello, World! One of our new neighbors has inspired me to write on our blog again! (Thanks Sarah! Who knew you could make all your updates into a book at the end of the year! Not me!)

Well, here't goes...
It's been months! I'll be the first to apologize! Sorry!! There... all better?! ;) Although you haven't heard from us, we are so glad that our "followers" have hung around! We love you and know that you love us!

Update about the past: I stopped posting when I felt like I didn't have anything nice to share. Didn't our mothers always teach us to not say anything at all, when we didn't have anything nice to say?! ;) I guess things are just turning around now. Yikes!
I am sorry to share that we went through a very hard time over the last 9 months. We have suffered through two miscarriages this year alone, and it has been one of the most difficult times of our lives! All in all, God is faithful, even while I spent my 40 days in the wilderness. We have grown deeper and more in love with Jesus, as well as, stronger in our love and commitment to each other in our marriage. As a family, we feel blessed to know that Bode is here to share in our joy and our sorrow as we pray for our babies in heaven. (Note: If you have suffered through miscarriage and need someone to talk to, please don't hesitate to chat with me personally. I am willing to share my story and grieve with you.)
Meanwhile, we signed a deal to build a house in March, which was wonderful (in itself), but created added stress of building and choosing EVERYTHING! We built a custom home, suited just for us, with Jason Semler of New Market Homes. Knowing all that I know now, today, I wouldn't change a thing!! On June 17th we closed on our lovely new home! We are enjoying our new house immensely and we are so blessed by the neighbors and neighborhood! We officially belong to the Crown Woods development in The Lakes of Radisson in Blaine, MN. We have our own park just a few steps away, a beach and splash park that are a half-a-mile down the road, and some of the finest people in all of Minnesota! We got to meet our wonderful neighbors at the Night to Unite outing in August and just had the first annual Neighborhood Olympics this past weekend! Such a fun place to be with so many kids, so many different ages, and great Mommies and Daddies too! ;)

Here are a few pictures in our new neighborhood!

Update for the future: I hope and pray that I can keep this up as a weekly post. Bode is "busy, busy, busy" as he would say (Love it when he copies his Mommy), learning and doing fun things! We post A LOT of updates on Facebook, as well as pictures and movies. Please go and check 'em out!
We look forward to blogging with you more in the near future! Thanks again for sticking around!
Blessings,
Abby
